Accommodation in Mongolia

We choose the accommodations  considering the comfort, safety and cleanliness of our customers during the trip

HOTEL: In the capital city Ulaanbaatar, you will stay in a 3-5 stars comfortable, modern hotel.

In rural areas, accommodation is at a local guesthouse, hotel or Gercamp.

Tourist camp or named GER CAMP (Yurt camp)  is a camp made up of Mongolian gers, and there are comfortable and unique places with public toilets, showers, restaurants, electricity (220V) and other useful services and they are located in the most beautiful natural scenery in the countryside. 2-4 people per Ger.

Depending on the tourist destination and the environment and infrastructure, the Ger camps have simple and lux options.

The lux Ger has great amenities and a private shower and toilet. As mentioned above, not all of the destination Ger camps have a lux Ger, and even if they do, they may be limited.  So make sure to book early. Lux Gers are available to book with extra charge.

GUEST GER: Some tours offer overnight stays in Guest Gers and nomadic families instead of at Ger camp.

Staying at a Guest Ger  or nomad Family differs from a Ger camp in that there are no shared hot water showers, toilets, or dedicated restaurants.

Guest Gers are a small number of specially prepared houses with very basic amenities that are operated by the local people as a source of livelihood. A Ger  accommodates 4-5 people. There is usually an outhouse. In general, the conditions are the same as staying in a tent.

NOMAD FAMILY: Staying with a nomadic family means that they have specially prepared for a small number of Gers, and the family members  themselves live next to your house as neighbors. You can experience the daily life of the nomads right up close, have an amazing experience talking and playing with them, and if you want, you can help them with their daily work. You will interact with the animals of the nomadic family and create wonderful memories.

What is mongolian GER or Yurt?

The Ger is a unique dwelling that Mongolians have been living in for centuries. It is a suitable apartment for nomads to live with their animals in the 4 seasons of the year. The house is very easy and quick to set up and take down. It has many advantages, such as the best air exchange and good heat retention. Mongolians build their Gers facing south.

Today, more than 50% of Mongolia's population lives in Mongolian Gers. Especially in the countryside. It's suitable to move seasonally with their animals.

Would you like to have an experience with this uniq Ger? We hope so :-)
